‘God Messages for You’: Sharjah Int’l Book Fair Features Unique Spiritual Experience
Visitors are invited to enter a specially designed glass booth, where they can listen to Quran recitations and interpretations of selected verses.
Inside the booth, attendees choose a sealed envelope containing a verse from the Quran without knowing its content. They then input the verse number into an electronic tablet to listen to a detailed explanation by a renowned interpreter, Emarat Al Youm reported.
Abdullah Al Ali, head of program evaluation at the UAE’s Quran TV network, explained, “We have carefully selected 27 Quranic verses, all emphasizing universal moral values such as tolerance, peace, patience, submission to destiny, and dedication to good deeds and trustworthiness.”
Al Ali noted that the activity goes beyond listening, encouraging contemplation of the verses’ meanings. “Those who have experienced this initiative have praised it as an unprecedented and deeply moving concept,” he said.

He added, “The most beautiful part of this experience is the spiritual seclusion felt within the closed booth. It allows visitors to focus entirely on the verses, enhancing their spiritual connection and uplifting their souls.”
The 43rd edition of SIBF, held from November 6 to 17, 2024, hosts 2,522 publishers and exhibitors from 112 countries, including 234 from the UAE, 172 from Egypt, and 81 from the UK.
Morocco is the guest of honor, and the event includes 600 workshops for all age groups.
